What Vultr offers startups

Vultr is an independent cloud provider that has become a serious challenger to the hyperscalers, particularly for AI inference workloads. The Vultr Startup Program offers up to $25,000 in credits usable across compute, block storage, object storage, managed databases, and — most notably — Vultr's competitively priced GPU instances featuring NVIDIA H100, A100, L40S, and AMD MI300X chips.

Vultr's pricing is consistently lower than AWS, GCP, and Azure for equivalent compute. For AI startups that need raw GPU hours without the markup, Vultr is one of the few independent providers offering H100s on-demand at a transparent price. 32 global regions also make it a strong choice for latency-sensitive products.

Who qualifies

• Early-stage startup, less than 5 years old
• Building production workloads (not just experimentation)
• Have raised seed funding or are bootstrapped with revenue
• Not currently a major Vultr customer
• A real software product — no resellers or hosting agencies

The application path

1. Visit the Vultr Startups page and submit the application form
2. Provide company info, current monthly cloud spend, and intended Vultr use case
3. Vultr reviews applications within 1–2 weeks
4. On approval, credits are applied to your account immediately
5. Begin migrating workloads or spinning up new infrastructure

• Reserve GPU capacity in advance — H100 availability fluctuates by region
• Use Vultr Bare Metal for sustained workloads — even cheaper than the cloud compute tier
• Combine Vultr Object Storage (S3-compatible) with your existing tooling for an easy migration test
• Vultr is excellent for serving inference globally given its 32-region footprint
